Two New ProJect Turntables in stock

We are pleased to announce the arrival of the latest additions to the ProJect range. First up is the Debut Carbon SB Esprit ($749.00). Basically, this is a Debut Carbon with the convenience of electronic speed change; a new DC power supply with built in Speed Box; and an upgraded acrylic platter. Available in gloss black, white and red. The Xperience SB DC may be the most anticipated Project ‘table in some time. This perennial favourite now sports a 9″ EVO carbon fibre arm; a built in Speed Box; and an Ortofon 2M Silver moving magnet cartridge. New finishes are now satin eucalyptus, walnut and palisander. $1699 MSRP

Marantz PM 7005 – A bit of a Swiss Army Knife!

Marantz’s latest offering is a combination of a good old fashioned integrated with up to the minute digital connections. On the amp side, we are treated to 80 watts at 4 ohms; Marantz’s proprietary HDAM SA3 circuitry; a phono input paired with Marantz’s Analog Mode, which switches off digital circuitry for a pure sound from all your favorite records. On the digital side, we find Cirrus Logic’s CS4398 DAC; USB, optical and coaxial digital connections and the ability to negotiate Hi-Res audio files, including 192k/24 bit and DSD at 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz. All this for $1199.00 MSRP!

Hearty congrats are in order for our Shunyata event prize winners. Joni helped herself to the Venom Digital power cord, while Rob waltzed off with two sets of Dark Field Elevators. Grand prize winner, Mike, helped himself to a Venom PS8, Venom HC power cord and Defender Module. A big thank you to Shunyata for providing these parting gifts! Just a quick note to thank everyone who attended our Shunyata event on Tuesday evening. I think everyone had a good time and maybe learned a thing or two. A big thank you must also go out to Grant Samuelson and the whole Shunyata family. Also, a big western howdy to Devine Wines and the Lingnan restaurant for providing libations and sustenance.
