Marantz’s latest offering is a combination of a good old fashioned integrated with up to the minute digital connections. On the amp side, we are treated to 80 watts at 4 ohms; Marantz’s proprietary HDAM SA3 circuitry; a phono input paired with Marantz’s Analog Mode, which switches off digital circuitry for a pure sound from all your favorite records. On the digital side, we find Cirrus Logic’s CS4398 DAC; USB, optical and coaxial digital connections and the ability to negotiate Hi-Res audio files, including 192k/24 bit and DSD at 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz. All this for $1199.00 MSRP!
